Presented by SBC Theatre
Stand and Be Counted Theatre are the UK’s first Theatre Company of Sanctuary and Resident Company at Theatre in the Mill, Bradford.
Where We Are is a documentary film that responds to their acclaimed touring show ‘Where We Began‘. An urgent portrayal of life in the UK for many migrants and Sanctuary seekers. Tafadzwa Muchenje, who successfully appealed a Home Office decision to deport him but still remains in limbo, reveals the impact an admin error had on his life and how he and his friends and family continue to fight injustice. Where We Are is made in collaboration with filmmaker Smart Banda.
Co-commissioned by ArtReach for Journeys Festival international, Theatre in the Mill, Cast and Camden People’s Theatre.
