Have you noticed how unicorns are everywhere right now?
Unicorn Party takes its audience on journey to explore the history of this cultural icon, from a symbol of purity into a hyped, but increasingly commodified one of self-expression, acceptance and queerness. Meanwhile, as the unicorn becomes omnipresent, the politics of the far-right sweeps across Europe and the world.
Nick Field envisions a reimagined, dystopian Britain, in which we have become a Unicorn Fascist State, and when the unicorns take control, there’s only only one thing to do – throw a party!
Expect a surrealist riot of stories, songs, music, comedy, and copious glitter, to take a sneaky gawp at what happens when escapism becomes inescapable.

Reviews
“Field is deliciously funny and makes us laugh hard. They aren’t simple laughs of recognition, they’re raucous chuckles that make it hard to breathe…Ridiculously relatable and so much fun” – Views from the Gods on Work Play
“A gift and a welcome exchange” – Lyn Gardner on Be My Friend
