Part of Calm Down Dear, CPT’s unique festival of innovative feminist performance.

Theresa May. Nicola Sturgeon. Angela Eagle – not. Hillary Clinton – maybe.

It’s been a historic year for women in power, and may get more historic yet. We’ve got a new political party dedicated to women’s equality. We’ve seen awareness raised about the abuse experienced by female MPs. We’ve got only the second ever female Prime Minister, and a Labour party seemingly further from female leadership than ever.

Come and discuss the relationship between women and power, in politics and beyond. Speakers include:

Sian Berry, Green candidate for London Mayor

Ayesha Hazarika, former political adviser to Harriet Harman and Ed Miliband; also a standup comedian

Stella Duffy, writer, theatre-maker, co-director of Fun Palaces and founding member of Women’s Equality Party.
