Old time vaudevillian and tap dancer Sid Lester helped make Variety great… and now he wants one last shot.
He is resentfully assisted by his daughter Valerie and together they attempt a united front to evoke the spirit of the fun-packed Summertime Special. Sid's performance style is influenced by old mucker Tadeusz Kantor and Tommy Cooper while Valerie channels Bassey and Garland. With proffered toffees, talking birds, a little shuffle-step-hop, impersonations, interactive 'Name that Tune', old style crooning and family dynamics.
Sue MacLaine and Emma Kilbey have extensive stage experience as solo practitioners and bring their unique performance styles to this new collaboration.
