In 1994, Oasis released their debut album Definitely Maybe, Labour leader John Smith died of a heart attack, and the World Cup happened without England. Oh, and Camden People’s Theatre was founded by an idealistic gang of artists in a former pub on Hampstead Road.
Twenty years on, to launch its year-long [email protected] programme, CPT marks two decades of trailblazing theatre with a proper knees-up celebrating the sights, sounds and styles of 1994, alongside for-one-night-only, nineties-themed performances from some of our favourite artists.
Artists making one-off performances for Party Like It’s 1994 include: Tom Frankland, Mamoru Iriguchi, Sh!t Theatre, Cool Hunting, and more.
