Presented by Ada Mukhina
How can performing arts dismantle the distance created by political oppression and immigration using technology? How can we create a performance while not being able to be in the same room with our collaborators? Ada Mukhina’s multimedia live art piece brings artists and audience together to answer these questions and to explore risk in arts itself.
For each RiskLab performance, Ada Mukhina invites a guest risk-taking artist from a different country to join her via technology. Based on interviews and live experiences of artists at risk from all over the world, this piece challenges the role of art in modern society.
4 October: guest artist – Anis Hamdoun, a director and writer (Syria / Germany).
5 October: guest artist – Abhishek Thapar, a theatre maker, puppeteer and artist (India / Netherlands).
Be prepared for a series of artistic provocations that invite you to think, make decisions and take action. Welcome to RiskLab! We are here to explore #risk #liveness #honesty
