Fed up with Facebook? Exhausted by email? Terminated by Twitter?
Reading the Internet is an exorcism and a celebration of all the writing that’s published online. It’s a performance of private and public conversations, of dialogue whispered through a keyboard and broadcast to the world. It turns the written word into live art, transforms Facebook feeds into music, and breaks down that political essay you kept meaning to read into a brief flash of poetry.
Hosted by Something Other, Reading the Internet is part-curated, part-open mic: we’ll be looking for collaborators to join us on the night. If you read something in a blog that made you want to start a fire or just want to read out loud David Greig’s twitter jokes, this is the place to share them.
Part of Sprint Festival 2016: London’s biggest and best festival of the newest, most adventurous theatre from across the UK and beyond.
Catch Reading the Internet in a double bill with Dissonance on the same evening. Two shows for just £16!
