Presented by Trip Hazards

As far back as they can remember, Jasmine and Nikhil have been in a room with a dance mat, trying to win the iconic arcade game Dance Dance Revolution. It hasn’t been going as well as they had hoped.

Recently named one of The Guardian’s Top Five Emerging Theatre Companies, Trip Hazards present Progress: a playful and painful exploration of how friendship survives when we win and we lose; a dance odyssey for the video game era; a duet made by two people with four left feet.

Blending choreography, theatre, live art and DDR playing, Progress is a tribute to everyone who’s danced with a mate, and wished they were just that bit better.

Supported by Arts Council England. Developed with support from The Yard Theatre and Arcola Theatre.

“A moving exploration of dance, self-expression and friendship”Exeunt Magazine

“Nothing can dampen the joy Progress evokes…dancing truly is for everyone, and these emerging artists prove it”★★★★ Broadway Baby

“Haunting yet optimistic…at its best, it puts you in the mind of Pina Bausch’s great exhortation: ‘dance, dance or else we are lost’ “Lyn Gardner, Stagedoor
