Presented by Viv Gordon
ORAL is a show about mouths. What goes into them. What comes out of them. And what they are actually for. Based on her lived experience, Viv Gordon and company sink their teeth into childhood sexual abuse, dentistry and crocodiles. ORAL is a rebellious gobby kind of show about rising up and biting back. A jaw-dropping call to arms.
ORAL has been co-commissioned by The Sick of The Fringe / Strike a Light Oral and is funded by Arts Council England South West with additional funding and support from Take Art Barn, Activate Performing Arts and The Pound, Corsham.
About the company
Viv is a theatre-maker, arts and mental health activist and CSA survivor. She makes work that creatively articulates trauma narratives based on her lived experience and campaigns for access and inclusion for artists and audiences with mental health needs. Her previous work includes I am Joan – a comedy about recovery (whatever that is) and PreScribed – a commission from Bristol University animating research into GP wellbeing in an NHS in meltdown.
