Presented by Adam Foster and Susan Kempster
Framed by the pomp and ceremony of bullfighting and inspired by a catalogue of entertainers who have died during performance, the piece is a darkly funny meditation on empathy, death and snails… ¡With a free glass of sangira!
In a world where we find ourselves more emotionally engaged by videos of cute kittens on the internet than unimaginable human tragedies in the distant Third World, we want to challenge our audience to interrogate what they really feel at a time when we are witnessing an arbitrary disintegration of empathy.
Please note, a complimentary glass of sangria will be given out as part of this performance to adults only.
Matador(a) was supported by CPT’s Starting Blocks scheme in 2016.
