Presented by Plays Rough Theatre
New writing collective Plays Rough London are proud to present an evening of short new plays based on the theme ‘Man Versus. Machine’.
In an era of incredible technological development, when our gadgets become indispensible, how do we cope when we clash with our own creations? With responses that include serial killers, greek tragedy toasters and the collapse of civilization due to poor signal, expect surreal, epic, silly, relatable, exciting new theatre. All for less than a tenner!
Following a sell out show at The Old Red Lion and a site specific ‘Theatre Crawl’, Plays Rough London are committed to finding innovative new ways to create theatre and share their work.
Hosted by Amelia Dimolenberg
About the company
Plays Rough London are a collective of rotating new writers. Over the last year we have hosted five evenings, ranging from scratch nights to showcases to site specific work. Each evening challenges the writer to respond to a set theme or challenge.
This is a work-in-progress performance, and the show is still in the process of being created. There is an opportunity for you to feedback to the artists, which will be used to further develop the piece.
