Presented by You Should See The Other Guy

How can we resist social cleansing?

Created and performed by a company of women at the heart of the London housing struggle, including those who have experienced homelessness and activists from Focus E15 Campaign, this vibrant ensemble show interweaves personal stories and exclusive material from housing campaigns to create a celebratory musical; a toolkit for housing resistance.

This is DIY Theatre::DIY Resistance, where art and activism is for anyone and everyone. So bring your kids, bring your mum, bring your neighbour and bring your fight. Come engage in some Civil Disobedience, fuelled by song.

Sock puppets provided.

In May 2018 we will be performing on two London estates fighting demolition – Carpenters Estate and Silchester Estate, and premiering at Brighton Fringe. Our accompanying outreach programme explores the themes of the play and develops collective models for change (booking details to follow soon):

Carpenters Estate workshops:

17th May 2-4pm

Art of Resistance: An exploration of Theatre of the Oppressed devising techniques, engaging participants in theatre for change.

18th May 2-4 pm

Campaign Toolkit: A safe space to share experiences and receive practical tools/advice on housing with support from trained experts.

19th May 11-1pm:

Make a Protest Song: Everyone has a story to tell! In this workshop we invite you to use your story to collectively create song, as seen in Land of the Three Towers.
