A work-in-progress, presented by Pip Hambly

Right now… are we evolving, or dissolving?
Or simply going round and round on that ever-revolving carousel of time…
If we’re always growing, always changing… is this life or death that’s happening right now?

‘Kinkens’ is Old Scots for evasive answers to the questions of overly curious children.

Kinkens is also the host of a radio show and vlogspot ‘Kinkens Questions’ – a podcast for the lost and lonely about the meaning of life, the accident of evolution and the misfortune of having a human brain that asks unanswerable questions.

But what happens ‘Off Air?’, in the space between the broadcasted self and inner experience of life?

Kinkens is the story of a host unseated; of identity, communication and life’s ups and downs, woven into a story of friendship and being ‘next’ to things we can’t control.

Kinkens is supported by Arts Council England and was originally developed on Starting Blocks 2016 at Camden People’s Theatre.
