For ten years Kath Burlinson has filmed her body ageing. In this intimate and daring odyssey, she uses her naked form as a canvas to explore ageing, loss, life-cycles, seasonality, death and defiance.
InVisible Lines is tender, wild, joyous and ruthlessly honest. With live music and songs including The Menopause Tango, Greedy C**t, Shine On (Fresh Green Girl) and Love Yourself Wildly, the performance also contains spoken word, movement and shadow-play.
‘A magical mix of wit and lyricism…beautiful…wicked…gorgeous.’ (Joyce McMillan, Scotsman)
Conceived, written and performed by Kath Burlinson
Live music by Christine Sparks
Artistic Direction by Paul Oertel & Nancy Spanier
Video by Lorna Simpson and Chris Grady

“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.” -Anais Nin
