‘We’re just normal people, really. Technicians. We’re not monsters.’
Norman and Frank are well at home in their castle as the Technicians of a Liverpool Fashion College. When new recruit, Carol, makes and allegation of sexual misconduct, the team are thrown into chaos, where difficult questions are asked, and allegiances are tested. Gender, class and power are questioned as slapstick and tragedy combine in this unflinching, hilarious, in-yer-face Northern comedy.
Created by multi-award-winning TilThisNight, In The Heart of the Wasp’s Nest arrives in London after a UK tour and run at the Brighton Fringe. Karl Falconer is ‘a director to watch’ having been ArtsCouncil funded, as an alumni of the Shakespeare Institute, where he trained alongside the RSC Education department. Natasha Ryan is a freelance facilitator of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
