Of the 7.7 billion worldwide population, approximately 3.48 billion are active on social media, free to express who they are and what they stand for. Or are they? Growing connectivity gives everyone a wider platform to be seen and heard, but once a statement is made online, it can seldom be taken back. What happens when people don’t like what you have to say? What if you had the opportunity to confront your trolls in the flesh? And who’s to say you’re not the troll?

(In)Tolerant is a new performance piece specifically developed for the ‘Handle With Care’ festival, that addresses the fine line between tolerance and bigotry, scrutinising the negative repercussions of freedom of speech in line with our reactive social media culture.

Recommended age: 12+
