Presented By FLIM NITE

What would ‘The Thing’ (1982) look like chewed up and spat out by theatremakers, writers, comedians and musicians?

We’ve absorbed all of our artists into one big extraterrestrial gore monster to find out what it’ll do to their creativity. Come along and watch to see what happens!

Watch as our acts distort a classic yet box-office-flop sci-fi horror into something ridiculous, beautiful or unrecognisable for your viewing pleasure. We have entrusted each one of them with a chunk of the film to re-enact, riff around, mash up or explode. There’s no way of telling what will happen.

Cult hit FLIM NITE arrives in the capital to spread its unique brand of mischief after five years of sowing highly-acclaimed chaos in Manchester, Sheffield and Newcastle.

We will not be showing a movie. We will be making a FLIM.

The Line-up

JACK BRITTON

HAYLIN CAI
Chinese theatre-maker and musician who has directed numerous theatre productions and will be bringing her first solo show Elsewhere, about making decisions, to Camden People’s Theatre on Saturday 9th November! @HaylinCai

Reviews

“The group take a hammer to well-known films and smash them into something completely different – think a smorgasbord of musical interludes, a dab of poetry and an added bit of standup comedy. Trust us, it’s unlike any other night around!” – The Skinny

“With all the ramshackle pop-anarchism of Never Mind The Buzzcocks and the warmth, variety and bonhomie of a fringe arts night, FLIM NITE is going from strength to strength and is not to be missed.” – NARC

“Fast becoming one of the city’s best events. If you’ve never been to FLIM NITE, GO!” – Manchester Wire
