Hey you.
We’re not here to beat around the bush.
We’re here to RAGE. We’ve had ENOUGH.

Think you’ve heard it all before? Yeah, right.

Through song and shamelessly dark humour an all-female band tells the stories that you haven’t heard. Warning: the naked truth in this gritty performance may be disturbing. Do you dare?

Enough is Enough is a piece of gig-theatre that tells the stories of real women and children who have encountered sexual violence.

As bold and uncompromising as the creative team’s controversial play Mi Minor, Enough Is Enough, uses songs and pitch black humour as a battle cry, shouting out about issues that are taboo in our society today.

The play had a successful all-Wales tour visiting 20 venues in 26 days from rugby clubs and town halls to black box studios, followed by a packed performances at Wales Millennium Centre and Chapter Arts Centre.

About the company

The founders of Be Aware Productions arrived in Wales in 2013 as political exiles; they were forced to flee their native Turkey after a show they had produced – an absurdist tale of an imaginary dictator – was considered by the government as a rehearsal for the Gezi Park protest that erupted soon after the play finished its run.

Now firmly established in Cardiff’s thriving theatre scene, Writer Meltem Arikan , Director Memet Ali Alabora and Performer Pinar Ogun are driven to make accessible work with international appeal that challenges and expands the limits of the discipline in which they are produced.
