Presented by Cheap Thrills
A sci-fi feminist comedy by Cheap Thrills.
Set in the future or maybe just tomorrow, the planet is experiencing high levels of distress manifested through dancing plagues and pillow storms. ‘Be my Bosom Buddy’ explores female friendship, exposes the toxic effects of mass media and attempts (but fails) to find radical solutions. Expect visions of the multiverse, pop music, and the apocalypse. Our work has been compared to the likes of the Mighty Boosh, Smack the Pony and Rick & Morty.
Predicted reviews: ‘What the fuck did we just see?’ ‘Funny but actually very sad’ ‘They perfectly capture the Zeitgeist’
About the Company
We are a performance duo based in London, and working across theatre, live art and dance. Noemi Gunea + Grace Lambert = CHEAP THRILLS. Our work is centred around vulnerability and social pressure. We like to reflect on how different systems of power like the state, the media, the art world or technology influence the way we think and behave. Through amateur dancing and comedy, we play and examine how we can disrupt these patterns.
We don’t aim for polished. We aim to reveal something authentic, raw and wild within our work.
