Work in Progress Performance
Meet Patrick Griffin. 73. Irish. Builder. Father. Stand-up?
Bricking It will see writer/performer, Joanna Griffin swap jobs with her dad, Pat, to see what it really means to walk in another (wo)man’s shoes. It will look at ideas of legacy, class and the need to create. It will ask questions about the other lives we could have led and if it’s against Health and Safety to ride a wrecking ball, wearing nothing but a pair of DMs?
We follow comedy virgin Pat as he receives a crash course on how to be a comedian from some familiar industry faces while Joanna (who Pat says has never done an honest day’s work) attempts to build the stage for his first ever public performance. Will Pat disappear from site or will he bring the house down?
Warning: Will contain white vans, wolf whistling and dad gags
