So this is the date – or is it?

Join a lineup of crack CPT entertainers to commemorate, question and cabaret the hell out of Britain’s departure from the European Union.

Expect performances and conversations, songs, sketches and cris de coeur, as we bid au revoir, auf wiedersehen and jäähyväiset (nope, me neither) to the gang.

(And if it’s not happening – well, let’s talk about what might happen instead…)

Our stellar lineup includes: Lucy-Jane Parkinson (aka LoUis CYfer) as MC, Dirty Rascals, Paula Varjack, Gerel Falconer aka G representing HighRise, Xnthony and Hannah Maxwell.

More information on our artists below:

Our Yorkshire lad Lucy-Jane Parkinson (aka LoUis CYfer) was the FIRST EVER DragKing to win the crown at DRAG IDOL UK. Since then Lucy Jane Parkinson – the creator of LoUis CYfer – has stormed the scene in the UK, conquering the theatre world and appearing in the award-winning show JOAN and BULLISH with Milk Presents (supported by CPT). Now Lucy Jane is currently rehearsing for Rotterdam And LoUis is spreadin his ART-soul far and wide (wink) . LoUis is the future of neo masculinity. He speaks, he sings, he shimmies and he sparkles…. he’s our favourite by far, he’s LoUis CYfer!

Paula Varjack works in video, performance and participation. Her work explores identity, community, and making the invisible visible. Her latest show The Cult of K*NZO, a playful critique of consumer culture and high fashion, is currently touring. She is also in early stages of developing #thebabyquestion with Luca Rutherford, Catriona James & dramaturg Maddy Costa. Born in Washington DC to a Ghanaian mother and a British father, she considers east London to be “home”. @paulavarjack

Xnthony is an award-winning international theatre, music + cabaret artist. He makes future facing performance work that explodes on stage, at the club + in the community. His show about Eurovision, Douze, was presented as part of CPT’s pre-Brexit Before the Referendum festival in 2016.

Hannah Maxwell is a writer, performer, podcaster and comedian, originally of W.G.C. Hertfordshire though currently residing in a disused mortuary in South London. I, AmDram, her first full-length solo work, was developed in 2017 through Camden People’s Theatre’s Starting Blocks programme and is headed to Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the Pleasance this August. She managed to persuade her UKIP-supporting nan to vote Remain, so accepts no responsibility for any of this.

Dirty Rascals combine art forms to create vital, disruptive, genre-defying performances. They create shows that revel in their own liveness; shows that are radical, honest and irreverent. Tonight they present Dialogue, a performance of folk music from around the world by a group of artists who are children of different diasporas.

High Rise are a theatre collective who seek to spark conversation and build bridges between forgotten communities by representing the rhythm of the streets. Their core aim is to use inner-city memories, culture and music to give the unheard a voice through theatre. In 2016, they developed their hit show Merryville with CPT, who are also supporting their upcoming #UKDrillProject.
