Vent Elation by Catherine Duquette & Ruth Sergel
Catherine used to cope with anger by baking cupcakes. But now she’s fed up.
This participatory scratch invites you to dive into our current emotional climate and revel in an audience-led ode to rage. Expect spongy rants, a token female, sugar-coated aggression, saccharine self-denial, and socially generated frosting. Lots and lots of frosting.
Swallowing Your Idols by Lost Kids Collective & Xana
Having built a world seemingly free from family trauma, Swallowing Your Idols follows three iterations of the same human who use their imagination to cope with being thrown into adulthood. A never-ending episode told through music, hacked toys and poetry. Swallowing Your Idols is the apology and forgiveness owed to your past selves.
As I Am Naturally by Tania Camara
As I Am Naturally tells the story of Tania’s hair journey. The performance embodies a selection of poems and stories that challenge notions of inner beauty, femininity and gender fluidity.
TALK PROPA by Caitlin Evans
Sick of the endless stereotypes of the northerner as the clown, fool, or someone that lives such a dire life they must escape and move to the wonderful South…. this is an experimental attempt to deconstruct the voice and celebrate northern accents on stage.
