Part of ‘Fitter Happier More Productive’: a selection of cutting-edge artists respond to the cult of self-betterment, and explore how it feels to be imperfect in its shadow
This is a show about being the best you can be. Hopefully. A collage of honest storytelling, movement and music that reaches to the edge of the 90s babe stratosphere.
Join Saskia and Elena at the altar of the self, they will take you into the girl/woman’s bedroom exploring the cult of today. Returning to CPT after a hit January 2015 run, Be Better is a show, a service, an exploration of a generation that isn’t lost but might as well be! Caustic, funny and full of pathos, Be Better presents a fantastical critique of self-worth. You should come, because you are worth it.
“It manages to embody a modern malaise in new and thought-provoking ways, and their reference to topical issues goes beneath the superficial” ★★★★ Broadway Baby
“Bold, brash and bonkers… Like Bridget Jones on acid” ★★★★ The Student
“Deep, catalytic ideas and a dizzyingly strong voice” ★★★★ Exeunt
About the company
Urban Foxes Collective is a London based all-female theatre ensemble. Through female eyes, we unapologetically make multi-disciplinary performance that is concerned with the now. We are looking for ways to better understand ourselves, each other and the confusing world we exist in. We celebrate contradictions in ourselves and in our shows and use movement, music and words in an effort to find clarity. It’s about what gets stuck in our brains and we can’t stop talking about.
