Presented by Luisa Amorim

On stage a mother and a daughter prepare their home to receive their guests: a portrait of a London working family, and the mutations of the city they’re in.

Subtly political and largely social, this follow on project (originally here as part of Whose London Is It Anyway? in January 2016) explores how life changes, time passes and how new absences give place to new presences.

About the company

Luisa Amorim is a Portuguese performance artist based in London. She is interested in a direct exchange with the audience which, in her opinion, is an exclusive quality to performance art when compared to cinema or television. Her work often draws upon and dramatizes real life and brings the mundane onto the stage.
