COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

Your Visit

On the 14th June, CPT will reopen with social distancing measures in place. We have made a number of changes to how we normally operate to keep our audiences, staff and artists safe when they are in the building.

Here are the safety measures you can expect to see on your visit to CPT:

  • All visitors will be asked to register their details using either via the NHS Test & Trace app or recorded by our FOH staff when you arrive
  • The bar area will only be open to people attending the performance and you must be seated prior to entering the performance space
  • We have a new ventilation system installed across all areas of the building
  • Our staff will inform you when the theatre is open and we ask that you wait to be called forward to take your seat so we can maintain social distancing
  • Sanitising stations will be located throughout the building
  • Contactless e-tickets will be in use
  • Face coverings will be mandatory for audience members, unless you are exempt for health reasons or while eating or drinking. All staff working front of house will also wear face coverings
  • We have reduced our capacity by a three-quarters to ensure social distancing is possible at all times
  • Our team will regularly clear high touch areas throughout the day/night
  • We will use contactless payment only
  • We are only presenting double bills on Fridays and Saturdays, with the 9pm performance taking place in the basement, so there will be no cross over of audiences in the bar space.
