The Forest and the Field

presented by Signal to Noise

£10.00 Concs: £8.00

Two scratch showings of a brand new project from the creator of Hippo World Guest Book and King Pelican. Both a reflective commentary on theatrical performance, and a theatre piece in its own right, The Forest and the Field leads its audience through an array of ways of thinking about the theatrical experience, drawing particularly on Shakespeare but finding room for O.J Simpson too… In an intriguing and revelatory journey through the meaning of stage performance in the 21st century, Chris Goode traces a seductively radical through-line which joins theatre’s past to the promise of its future.

“Heart-breaking and ground-breaking. (Pretty theatre-breaking too.)” – Lyn Gardner, Guardian theatre blog, on King Pelican

Please note: this performance contains nudity and flickering light effects
