Song Chang Paintings

Song Chang is the son of a successful painter in his native Taiwan. His first exhibition in the UK, this coincides with his latest theatre piece Irreversible, presented at CPT in November.
Reflecting Chang’s work in the theatre the paintings illustrate a significant narrative and theatrical strand; the presence of the sub-conscious is pronounced and a surreal dream-like quality pervades; a sense of drama in landscapes, with strange characters appearing or disappearing through multiple exits.  

CPT presents work by the artist, both from an earlier period in Taiwan and work completed in London in recent years.
